Will Shipment Planning work with WMS (directed put-away and pick)?

This functionality works best if you can register directly on the order (without warehouse shipments). If you use WMS to manage your warehouse, you can still use it to see what orders can be delivered. However, you can’t register or create shipments and picks from this screen directly.

Will the app take dates into account? What is the value of this app for the logistics department? Does it just consider current stock? Is this insight only available to sales staff, or can assembly workers use it as well? I use assemble to order.
